This first week of the New Year seemed to have passed awfully fast. But it was a good one, we've been waiting for some answers this week but I guess we just need to patiently wait a few more days or weeks. It's alright.
Piano and ballet are back in session, so is school. We're happy about it, the only "issue" is having to wake up early but we'll get right back into it, or maybe not :).
We went to the zoo this morning and although it was a bit chilly for what we've been used to (mid to high 60's this week), we had a great time!! We made some wonderful memories and although I very much agree with Hrishi who dreads taking (so many) pictures of everything we do because by doing so you miss the beauty of the moment as you don't get to be fully immersed in it, someone HAS to capture THAT moment so we can keep soaking it in many days and even years later after it's passed and gone. So here's many of the pictures I took :):
Very cool snakes!
This guy was fishing!!
Cool gate in the background:
Beautiful waterfall of which I have to take a picture every time we go to the zoo:
Cute pose:
We worked out quite an appetite after touring the zoo, so we sat down for a nice picnic.
I love this guy! :)
And this happy bunch!! :)
This is the Asian falls.
By the barn. Love the background colors. (Family picture there next year!)
This guy must have been really hungry, to my delight! ;)

Mom wanted me to "show off" my lunch. It does not look too appetizing but it's good and loaded with protein and other good stuff. Haha!! :)

The parakeets were a big hit this time, I love these birds!!
Then the home team headed back to the quarters. Some to play with grandparents/relax with grandaughter, some to play golf, some to go for a run.
Sunday was wonderful with 8:30 am church, yummy lunch, and a nice well-deserved nap! :)
Now we're ready for the work week, I think.
What a great zoo you guys have there! Loved reading about your fun weekend! And your lunch did actually look yummy, I would have some any day. :) Va pupam pe toti!
