Ours came a little early. We have received her on December 4th. Fresh from Heaven. We named her Gracie. She is very tiny in age and stature but oh so wonderful and strong.
I'm so excited and happy as she is the answer to my prayer. Something that is changing my life forever. I get to do all the "first" all over again and it's wonderful. And very very busy. And I am sleep deprived but truly grateful that she is with us at this time.
For reasons that have to do with her privacy and our safety, we cannot have pictures of her face on social media. I am keeping a journal of her "firsts" separately because she is so very precious and I do not want to forget this amazing experience we're having with her. We do not know how long we get to enjoy her and care for her but we hope it is for a long time, and why not .... forever.
We are all enamored with her. She's very hard to resist, you know. Ella is on cloud nine and her whole entire world knows about her foster little baby sister. She loves to hold her and feed her, sings Primary songs to her, and helps put away her clothes. Our Gracie is one blessed little girl as she received so many wonderful gifts and donations from families in the ward. Truly grateful for everyone's outpouring of love and support with our new addition and some other big changes in my life.
Although things are not always easy and Heavenly Father has a different way of handling things and answering prayers, than what we might think it's best for us, I am grateful for my lot.
A few other updates: Ella is doing great in school, straight A's and some nice accomplishments on her ABRSM piano exams. She received a merit on her piano performance exam and did well/passed her theory too. She is very proud of her certificate on which Queen Elizabeth and the Prince of Wales are listed as Patrons. :) She had me make a copy of it so she can share it with her teachers at school. I love how hard working she is and how is never shy of a challenge.
Christmas is just around the corner. How exciting! I love this little Advent calendar the
Friend put out. It's the best.
