The New Year

The New Year starts with great hopes and desires to work harder and smarter, and serve more. I initially thought of including "expectations" along with "hopes" but it just struck me that we cannot really just expect things to happen unless we have the desire and drive to commit and work hard at making them happen. So I left "expectations" out and added "desires" and "work."

There are a few things we're looking forward to and I hope to be able to disclose them here in the near future. We keep our faith and prayers going strong, along with the much needed patience (something I always seemed to be short on! :-)) and hope for the best, knowing that He knows best, after all.

I do have great hopes for each of us, individually and as a family. Hopes of improved health (food allergies that is), professional growth (Hrishi and myself), fitness, increased love at home, etc. I have to remember that life is always what we make it out to be, the same is true for each and every day. While we don't get to always decide on our circumstances, we decide our attitude and how we embrace or fight those circumstances. For our peace of mind, I hope we decide to embrace and not fight them.

I have no worry that we in this household are each committed to working hard and making it happen.

And how blessed we've been to celebrate the passing into the New Year with mamaie and tataie!!

So here's to a great New Year!!
