The FARE Walk cupcake fundraiser was a success in my book, even if we only got four families to stop by, chat about food allergies, grab a cupcake or two, and donate to the cause. Ella was pretty disappointed that we didn't get more of a turnout but I tried to explain how busy we all get with life and that all that it matters is for us to have a voice and do all that WE CAN in our power to spread awareness and ask for donations. She was finally a bit happier when she saw a few coming just when we were wrapping up the stand. We raised a whooping $28. But you know what? That's okay because my generous employer does 100% gift matching and those $28 are turning into $56. I wish Rishi's employer had that same kind of program but I'll take what we got.

We even got the newspaper photographer to show up and take some pictures.

Looking hopeful to the future when a cure will be found!

With our next door neighbors, the nicest we've ever had!

Ella and I marketing our goods, haha! The cupcakes were delicious though; we had lemon, spice cake, and chocolate varieties. We also had gluten-free vanilla flavor. Those were also yummy. (Didn't know that gluten free can be so tasty.)

So happy that they came!

I know there is a big smile on my face but I am truly heavy-hearted as I pray for my child and children with food allergies and really with any disabilities, to be kept safe and protected by His tender and loving care.
