Break time

I'm taking a quick break from a very intense work day. Well, pretty much every single day at work has been full, intense, and exciting since I have started last week. I think that's a good sign! I'm loving the company culture, the people, my boss. It's all so different from what I've been accustomed in the past nine, ten years. There is so much learning and growth I'm experience that sometimes I feel like I'm in "professional paradise," this place in my career life where you are always excited to come to work because you learn so much, because it's fun, interesting, almost pretty much everything you've been reading about in books. I love PROS, Inc. ,if you're interested to check them out. I work with very intelligent people who are also funny and nerdy, and it couldn't be better! I can clearly see the Lord's hand in preparing me for this and bringing me to this place at this time. Aside from the fact that he's an excellent professional, with lots of experience in the software product development and marketing, my boss is an active member of the church! Can it get better than this??? I do not think so!

Impressions from my first day...

There is a lot of opportunities to grow and contribute, a very open culture, very diverse (I think I heard three or four languages so far in the hallways, aside from English.) I'm really pleased and happy and so motivated to make the best of the next five years here at PROS.

I do have to wake up at five every morning to prepare the girls' meals, clothes, and my own meals for the day (and leave the house at either 6 am when I hit the gym or shortly before 7 when I don't,) or whatever I haven't gotten to the night before.  It's hard getting used to working out at six AM and commuting (thank goodness there is a park&ride option to-from Downtown where my office is,) BUT I wouldn't change anything about this experience.

The girls are doing good with this adjustment although I know we all wished we could spend a little more time together during the week.

Gracie started daycare last week and is doing good. Ella already switched after-school to follow a couple of good friends from school there. Gracie will follow her to that same center starting next Monday. It's just a better place for them, plus they can be together and Ella can visit and hold her when she arrives there from school.

Through all these changes and adjustments, Hrishi has been amazing! He's taken over the whole breakfast and getting ready-for-school-and-daycare saga with both girls!! He's doing an amazing job! His awesomely positive attitude even when it's two in the morning and he wakes to feed baby!! What a man and a father he is! Never complains, always smiles. I am so proud of him, of how he made sure both girls are in the best daycare/after-school setting, how he filled lots of paperwork and made phone calls, took care of all the stuff that was usually on my plate! Thank you, love! YOU ARE THE BEST!!! :)

Spring is here in my front-yard! These flowers I planted and mom and dad watered and then sheltered from the freezing temperature with plastic bags only a couple of weeks back, are so beautiful, so fragrant!

And here is our little angel! She is so good, I am just so amazed with her.  She is the most perfect baby ever; she has a very sweet disposition.

Ella and Remi are doing great, they're a team again and she (and we all) couldn't be happier. I love her determination and hard work in everything that she does: school, piano, and horseback riding. She is such an example to me!

She'll probably starting to jump again soon.

I love these two!! :))
