Christmas crafting

We're going to do this for some fun and meaningful Advent reading this year. As always, we're a bit behind but we'll be catching up tonight at family home evening. I like the idea of making these little scripture cards part of a  treasure hunt and "hiding" them in unexpected places, such as long with toys, lunch box items, etc. to create a little mystery and fun. The scriptures written on them are treasures.

Last night after dinner, Ella, my mom, and I got really crafty, pulled out the little Christmas tree, and made ornaments for it (and for the fireplace.) We had a ton of fun getting creative and making some pretty things together.

(Snowflakes, poinsettia, and a "lost" puppy head from Easter past.)

And this little child was thrilled to fall asleep with the lighted Christmas tree glowing sweetly from her desk.
