Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Heart is full of gratitude for the many blessings that are ours. It is a long list but I would start with the daily protection and love we are given, health, a good family, a good home, a good school, good employment, and finish up with strong living testimonies of God's daily workings in our lives. Those are true blessings. I love this holiday as I get to be reminded daily to be grateful and to thank more. I love saying "thank you." :)

Today we sat down for our feast. Hrishi led us in prayer and it was a very special one. Thank you, my dearest husband for the way you lead us: with love, righteousness, and patience.

We kept our meal fairly simple (but I still feel pretty stuffed.) I never like to make to much of a dish, especially since it was only the five of us.

The table was beautiful.

The food was delicious.

Everything was done on time and with the least amount of stress. This is what I have been striving for our family since I started my fit journey a couple of years ago: holidays without the stress of cooking (too much.) I strive for holidays where we can truly enjoy what we are celebrating.

The traditional pumpkin pie. Delicious and light.

Mr. Turkey, carefully marinated and prepped by Hrishi.

Our lovely little table centerpiece flower arrangement which we made at home, partly with flowers and greens from our front yard. What a fun thing it was to make that together!

The boys with Ella. Notice Hrishi's very elegant attire (well, he changed later on in something more comfortable and put shoes/socks on! Haha! :))

Our very pretty table:

The amazing salata de boef (with chicken breast), by our one and only Mamaie.

Master carver:

Enjoying the delicious and safe meal.

I made cranberry sauce (from scratch) this year for the first time and it turned great.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

(our turkey when it decided to get "fit"!!!)

Also known as the "bodybuilder" turkey!! :)

Good times

Some of the things we have been up to lately, in our free time (the little free that we have.) Things never really slow down but you have to have some fun.

Diwali came and went this year and we missed the big fireworks at the temple but Hrishi still made it pretty and festive.

A day at the beach, a beautiful bright and sunny day in Galveston.

We stopped by Moody Gardens which is a delight.

A visit to the temple is always a wonderful thing. Aside from being in the celestial room with my folks, my next best favorite part of mine was reading from the Book of Mormon on the temple grounds after our session.

October Birthday!
